Missionaries visit
Eliseo slam!
Today we just had a visit from missionaries from South Sudan. Their names were Phil and Janet. We learned so much. Here's some of the stuff I've been learning about ...
* There is no power
* They use wet blankets for sleeping
* Juba is very hot
* The toilets are for crouching
* They have houses up on hills to see enemies
* People carry guns to stop people stealing their cow's
* Girls aren't allowed to go to school because they think they will learn as they will grow up
* Some kids run away from white people because they think they're ghosts
* Cow pee is how they dye their hair red
* 100 pounds is 30 cents in New Zealand
* They love to have photos taken - they pose for the camera
* They fly planes because it's too dangerous to travel on the road
* You will get robbed or killed taking the road
* They use wood to brush their teeth
* They do lots of dances
* Little kids hunt small animals
* Scars are to identify what tribes they belong to
